I’ve been trying out different platforms and blogging engines for this site for a while now. I’ve given each of the following a good shot, but there were always problems with them for me and they never stuck: Wordpress.com My own Wordpress.org instance hosted on Azure Blogger BlogEngine.Net github pages Medium Roll my own blog engine Each of these failed for me for different reasons. They either cost too much for features I needed, were too inflexible, or were just way too much work to maintain.

Welcome to my website. I’ve been meaning to put together a site where I can write down my thoughts for a while now. I’ve started and stopped a few times, and tried out different platforms along the way. I’m pretty excited about this one, so hopefully it sticks. I’m still mesing around with it, but so far it’s been super easy to work with. In the first real post I’ll explain the tools and frameworks, as well as the service I’m using to host it.
